Church.
It sounds like a safe place, with nice, friendly people. But as is almost always the case, appearances can be deceiving. The friendly gentleman you sat next to? Beats his wife after he's had a few. The pretty, outgoing blonde that helps teach Bible Study? She's been having an affair with another church member for years--both of them cheating on their spouses. And that angelic looking pre-teen boy? He's the local school bully.
But to counter them, you have the quiet woman in the back who volunteers at a soup kitchen three days a week, the older gentleman with the bad hip, who reads to the blind every Monday, and the teenaged girl who helps organize the food and clothing drives at her high school.
New Life Church is a new, livejournal-based RPG, seeking to incorporate all types of personalities into a protestant church setting. How good (or not) your character is, is up to you.
The church is only part of the game, as you'll be free to play out your characters' lives in all sorts of settings--at home, work, shopping, and of course, at church, creating virtually limitless opportunities for interaction!
